Love to see a 3d nose design with the new caddx gimbal setup on this one Keith.

Problem is, they have a pretty short range and short flying time compared to the proper DJI drones.

Is it possible to fine tuning the gimbal's movement? Watching the on-board video, the camera moves too suddenly, disturbingly...

In my copter FC (Speedybee F7 V3) I got 2 free UART left, can I connect the gimbal to one of the free UART to controll it ? (Did not find anything on the Caddx page at this date so far)

Hi there Bonafide. It's been quite a bit since I've messed around with R/C flying, and FPV. I still have all my aircraft, but very dated electronics. I have the Eagletree Vector FC, which in my research, isn't supported anymore. I would like to re set up at least 2 of my aircraft to fly again. One is an EyeFly Black Manta Quad, and the other is a Skyhunter. I would appreciate any advice... starting from scratch. Thank you.

Interesting regarding the jitter you are getting. It sounds exactly the same as Im getting on the HEQ gport gimbal. As you say, without input it dosent happen. I thought it may be something in PWM signal so I connected a servo on the same output and it was rock solid. Makes we wonder if there are common components/firmware in this and the gport. Do you find you can adapt quickly to the stabilisation for landing etc or does it take a while to get rhe hang of it, i know you can see the nose of the aircraft which must help alot.

Can you describe you paired (the wiring) BOTH a 4k Moonlight VTX/DVR board with the standard V1 VTX at 1:46? Edit - found it - wasn't aware there was a separate video board.

Nice 'dawn' flight deer patrol. It looked like the ground fog was messing with you hiding behind your antenna beam to the north side of the bayou. (4:20, 16:30) A side effect of that north wind. Too bad there is not an HD camera switcher option like is common with analog cameras. Such could allow mounting a second camera with a telephoto lens zoomed in on the centred of the default walksnail lens view. An eagle-eye for the Eagle.

How are you getting the large degree of pan on the camera? I have seen some servos say 180 deg, but you have to give 500 to 2500 to get that. I'm using ELRS and EdgeTX and I can enable extended limits, but still don't get that much range.

That vegetation is probably water chestnut. I work for a company that uses drones to spray stuff like that as well as crop dusting and other invasive species
